Saying Paul O'Rourke enjoys a challenge is an understatement. He CRAVES it!

Paul enlisted in the United States Navy entering the Navy's Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) program. He Proudly gave 12 years of his life serving his country and during that time became a husband and a father. He ended his Navy career to stay rooted with his family and entered the police academy, where he was appointed as the class leader and graduated at the top of his class.

Upon his completion of training at the academy, he immediately went to work as a police officer for the St. Charles County Sheriff's Department for four and a half years . His interest in law was renewed while working as a deputy.

Continuing higher up the legal ladder, Paul was accepted into St. Louis University's School of Law where he graduated in 2011 and was admitted to the Missouri Bar. O'Rourke's experience was quickly noticed and he was hired as the St. Charles County Prosecutor serving for two and half years.

Paul currently teaches Constitutional and Statutory Law at the Eastern Missouri Police Academy.

Paul's vast knowledge of law is truly the sum of his past experiences and various legal positions. His diverse background has awarded him with many different insights and perspectives that most attorneys do not ever have the fortune of knowing.

His ability to problem solve under pressure and quickly develop strategies while remaining poised, were perfected with his time in the navy. His time and experience as a police officer are invaluable, as he mastered unique interviewing and communication skills as well as a distinct competency to scrutinize reports and review for inconsistencies. He truly understands the procedures of law enforcement and a person's civil rights. His time as a Prosecuting Attorney has given Paul a front row seat to the mind of a prosecutor. Paul O'Rourke has been on all sides of the law. Now, criminal defense attorney protecting the rights of the community.
